The BSRT offers an international doctoral program with outstanding training and research opportunities related to the immune, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and nervous systems. It is of particular interest to those wishing to look beyond pure research and aim at translating their scientific discoveries into clinical applications.

The Biology Track is for graduate students coming from a background in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, bioengineering or veterinary medicine and covers a period of three years. The programm is run in English so students from all over the world with a Master's, or an equivalent degree can join.

The Engineering Track is for graduate students coming from a background in physics, chemistry, material sciences or engineering and covers a period of three years. The programm is run in English so students from all over the world with a Master's, or an equivalent degree can join.

A Junior Clinical Scientist Track will be established available for medical student who want to study for their Dr. med (MD) degree, which runs for four years, starting after the second year of medical education.
